Grandiose and surrounded by a beautiful garden, this Hamptons style villa, located in the resort of Quinta do Lago, boasts contemporary features and tropical gardens. Stood right within the golf area, the villa, with its luxury finishes, enjoys a rustic and elegant décor, the ethnic pieces of which ensure it an exclusive status. The fabrics used focus clearly on ethnic and natural patterns. Some splashes of velvet add notes of modernity. The villa was designed by architect Elsa Francisco, while the interior design was developed by the Sofia Andrez Interiors studio. Over the period of one year, the studio dedicated its energies to ensuring the wishes of the client – a non-national couple living in Quinta do Lago. As the clients had good taste and clearly defined ideas, the task, with regard to decorating the house, was a simple one. Microcement has been used in this residence both in coverings and flooring, along with natural materials, such as wood and iron. The double-height entrance hall, featuring a chandelier imported from South Africa, provides an impressive welcome. The south-facing living room, overlooking the swimming pool, has been decorated in a palette of natural shades, highlighted by the 100% wool rug produced in Portugal. The basement contains the games and TV room, alongside a study area for the couple’s teenage children, featuring an oversize desk. The teenagers’ bedrooms are located on the middle floor and, due the size of the pitched ceilings, a hanging lamp has been installed, creating an impressive focus for this area. For its part, the master bedroom, positioned on the first floor, enjoys magnificent views over the lake, a walk-in wardrobe and a toilet also with lake views. The standout item in this part of the house is the mirror, acquired from a London antiques dealer, as well as the linen-lined headboard of Chesterfield bed.
