Part of the luxurious hotel bearing the same name and housed within an 18th-century palace, Seteais Restaurant delights all who visit it, not only for its exclusive cuisine prepared by a respected Chef, and for its packed and varied wine cellar, but also for what greets the eye: inside, the artistry of the frescoes on the walls, of the tableware, of the Arraiolos rugs, the romantic atmosphere; outside, the labyrinthine gardens and the stunning landscape of the Serra de Sintra, stretching down to the sea.

Housed within the luxurious Hotel Tivoli Palácio de Seteais, on a slope of the Serra de Sintra, the Seteais Restaurant shares the same romantic and aristocratic atmosphere of the hotel. The charming architecture, the fine furniture, the beautiful tapestries and frescoes extend to the restaurant, also enhanced by exquisite Vista Alegre crockery and large windows revealing the landscape outdoors.

The romantic and aristocratic atmosphere is joined by flavours that pay tribute to Portuguese roots.

This atmosphere is joined by flavours that pay tribute to Portuguese roots, but also to delicacies of the world, while always bearing the touch of Chef Miguel Silva, who shares the limelight with the well-stocked wine cellar and with the freshest produce from land and sea.

Dishes created with care arrive at your table, such as those figuring in the eatery’s ‘Tasting Moments’, the name encompassing its tasting menus: Seteais Flavours (four dishes) and Royal Tasting (five dishes). If you plump for à la carte, the menu is extensive and appetising. With the «Couvert» already served, the «To start» delicacies arrive, such as Braised Foie gras, fruits of the forest, apple and mango purée. The suggestions that follow are categorised by: «From the sea», such as Tiger prawn, crunchy coriander risotto, pea and shellfish glace; «From the countryside to the table», such as Fillet of beef, pommes Anna, asparagus, Port wine sauce; and «Vegetarian», such as Sweet potato Carolino, rocket, salsify and mushrooms. «The grand finale» consists of sublime, sweet endings, such as Feulletine of dark chocolate, cocoa covering, orange foam and ice cream.

To finish, a walk through the leafy gardens is a fine suggestion, from where the view reaches the ancient forest, the Pena Palace and, below, the Atlantic.
