Angola is among the EU’s top ten African partners, ranking eighth and attracting around six percent of direct investment in Africa, which in 2019 represented 14 billion Euros in investment stock, said Carlo Petinatto, head of the European Union’s Investment and Intellectual Property Unit, during the European Union (EU)-Africa Business Forum. He also added that the current level of European investment in the country «is not insignificant» and there will be more opportunities in the future under the Angola-EU Sustainable Investment Facilitation Agreement (SIFA), which has been under negotiation since June last year.
