In a meeting with the provincial governor of Uíge, the Indian ambassador, Pratibha Parkar, promised to encourage businesspeople from her country to invest in agriculture and technology in the Angolan region. With a view to consolidating cooperation with Angola, the diplomat made a three-day visit to the province, where she saw the potential of banana, avocado, passion fruit, pineapple and other crops, in conjunction with mining skills. Pratibha said that, so far, 20 Indian companies had shown interest in investing, particularly in the province’s agricultural sector.
