The state budget for the 2023 economic year has over 14 billion Kwanzas put aside for the construction of several infrastructures and the implementation of basic services, with the aim of attracting private investment in the Cuando Cubango province. According to Rui Lisboa, chairman of the board of the National Agency for the Management of the Angolan Okavango Region, registered projects include the construction of border posts in Buabuata and Bico de Angola and Dirico and Mucusso. The project also includes the renovation of 560 kilometres of dirt road, allowing for better circulation of people and goods in areas of tourism interest. Communication constraints will also be mitigated, thanks to the approval of a project to install a mobile phone network in areas such as Buabuata, Bico de Angola, Boa-Fé and Benorio.
