The world
of whisky and design come together to create the latest chapter in The Dalmore
Luminary Series, in partnership with the V&A Dundee, Scotland’s design
museum. Melodie Leung was the person who gave shape to the whisky, a
49-year-old single malt. Once the flavour had been perfected, the designer was
in charge of creating a façade for the bottle, and the result was a sculptural
play of shapes and sparkles based on the expert custom-made workmanship of the
glass. Named The Rare, the model is a whisper of toasted brown, a
unique flavour note and an item with decorative functions.
