2023 kicks off with news from Soraya da Piedade’s studio. Meet the new PINK collection, inspired by the concepts of femininity and love, now available at Shopping Avennida, in Talatona.
With the aim of offering a wider range of options to the female figure, the designer has undertaken to produce a collection which focuses on the singularity of the bodies of African women. The presentation of PINK was scheduled for February, as this is the time of year when love is most celebrated. Consisting of five looks, the collection showcases two colour palettes: plain pink and printed pink with nude. «For the month of love, I chose pink because I consider it the most feminine colour that exists,» explains the Angolan designer. As far as sizes are concerned, this is a range that extends from the ready-to-wear line to XXL size.
«We had already sold out several pieces before the launch»
Affirmation, pride and brand positioning, all that the PINK collection symbolises for Soraya. Success pursues her young talent and the recent launch is no exception: «we had already sold out several pieces before the launch. So many people turned up, to the point that the shop became too small for so many customers,» says the designer. 80% of the collection was sold on the day of the PINK presentation, and, according to the Angolan, the feedback has been positive, revealing that she has already been inspired «on what to create for the next collection».
Passionate about creating, Soraya da Piedade assures us, today, she is sure of the direction to take: «We will continue to grow and innovate for joint growth and for the growth of the quality of Angolan fashion.»
