BMW introduces the updated version of the BMW X5 M
Competition to the market. The SUV now boasts aesthetic tweaks, smart
upgrades and hybrid mobility.
Make way for one of the German manufacturer’s newest models, the latest generation that stands out for its 48 V mild-hybrid technology in a high-performance car. The M Twin Power Turbo petrol engine achieves the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, making it an assertive choice for those looking for powerful thrills behind the wheel and, of course, appreciating the aggressive growl of full-throttle acceleration.
Maintaining its maximum power of 625 hp, the X5 M Competition is 90 kg heavier than its predecessor and has a top speed limited to 250 km/h. Bear in mind that the eight-speed M Steptronic Sport transmission with Drivelogic offers various gearshift options, from the most dynamic to the most comfortable. There’s also a reduction in gearshift times through adjustments to the transmission phasing, as well as improved turbo and accelerator response. And what can you say about the jet-black wheels, which are a real eye-catcher? What we’re talking about is sophisticated freedom on wheels, with a façade fused with the features of the BMW XM, as seen in the front grille that replaces the vertical bars with horizontal ones. The aggressive and powerful appearance is partly due to the headlights and front air intakes, which have been updated to match the distinctive nature of the model. Inside, it’s the BMW Curved Display dashboard that gets the spotlight, incorporating a screen for multimedia functions and another for digital instrumentation, giving the cockpit an exclusive, modern look. The dashboard is wider, doing away with some of the physical controls that used to be there. There are also new materials and finishes and an illuminated interior rail with the brand’s logo.
The BMW X5 M Competition adapts to any environment, showing off its vigorous and sporty lines. Here’s what you can expect from this new car: a disruptive driving experience that whets your «appetite».
